Before his extensive coaching experience later in life --- Jim coached a Pee-Wee baseball team called "The Chevy's". He was the first "coach" I had ever encountered. He was young... not much out of high school but he was full of energy, excitement and passion for competition. I was sad to hear of his passing and wish his brothers the very best

The world could use a few more teachers with the wisdom and philosophies this man utilized. And who else remembers the occasional days in class when, (shhhh), the door got locked and our minds were exposed to some of the great obscure classic movies such as "A Clockwork Orange", "Where The Buffalo Roam", and a few others from his personal bottom desk drawer collection. R.I.P. Mr. Gould, God knows you went like hell your whole life.

My thoughts are with the family during this time. Mr. Gould was a common thread in the history of Valley Heights athletics and we had some fun bus rides making him laugh. From JH volleyball to HS track, he is very much a part of my memories.

As a teacher and friend, he will be missed greatly missed. The memories in and during the games, bus rides, and support activities in and around school were building blocks in all our lives. I regret that I will not be able to share memories tomorrow but will keep you all in prayer. Help us Lord as we share all the blessings you have given through Mr. Gould.

The man gave many valley heights kids the freedom to drive. Thanks for the long country cruises in a school suburban listing to Rush Limbaugh, passing invisible cars and tons of laughter!
