She attended country school in the county near their home. She graduated from Concordia High School. Irma's first job was at the old hospital where Sunset Home is now. After that, she worked at JC Penneys for 38 years in almost every department; therefore, everyone around here knew her.
Irma married Earl Mosburg on April 22, 1946. They eloped to Texas and came back and lived in Concordia, Kan. most of their married life seven miles south of Concordia on the farm. Irma was a true farmer's wife, gardening, sewing, feeding cattle and sometimes running a tractor or canning, all while working full time.
After Earl got sick she moved to town in the house Jesse and Dean built on 11th street where she resided until she moved to Mt. Joseph in June 2010. Irma and Earl had one daughter Joyce, who with her husband Al Love of Waxahachie, Texas, survives. She also is survived by three grandchildren: Jared Gould and wife Kelly of Waco, Texas, Randi Love Clark and Kenny of Oak Leaf, Texas; and the youngest granddaughter, Ali of Dallas, Texas.
She is also survived by nieces and nephews: Patty Mosher, Leanna Schmidt, John Mosburg, Lee Mosburg, James Mosburg, Doug Mosburg and their families who she thought of as her own.
Irma traveled to Europe once and made many trips during her grandchildren's young years to visit them in Phoenix, Ariz., South Carolina, Ohio, Missouri and Texas.
