Ronald West Jr. Obituary

Ronald “Ronnie” Gene West JR., 51, was born December 27, 1969, in Concordia, KS. Son of Ronald West and Dorathy (Kearn) West. He passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Salina Regional Health Center after losing his battle with Bacterial Meningitis and Covid-19 Pneumonia.

 

Ronnie grew up in Concordia and graduated from Concordia High in 1988. He attended NCKTC for three years, where he studied Farm Equipment for two years and Parts Management for one year. Ronnie enjoyed camping, being at the lake, hunting, spending time with his family, and spending time with his beloved grandbabies.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald West Sr. of Beloit, Ks, his maternal grandparents George and Hazel (Trowbridge) Kearn of Concordia, Ks, and his paternal grandparents Siguard “Shorty” and Arlene (Clute) West of Kackley, Ks.

 

Ronnie is survived by girlfriend of the home, Misty Meyers of Beloit, Ks, Mother Dorathy (Kearn) West of Smith Center (Ronald West Sr), Daughter Kristin Amon (Chad Wickman) of Beloit, Ks, son Dustin West (Lou West) of Cawker City, Ks, sister Crissy (West) Ryba (Wayne Ryba) of Mankato, Ks. Grandchildren Makayla (10), Jaxson (7), Avery (6), Justyce (5), and Bowen (2). Three nieces, Rebekah (Ryba) Rijfkogel (Luke Rijfkogel) of Colorado Springs, Co, Tarra Ryba of Abilene, Tx, and Sydny Ryba of Mankato, Ks. He also is survived by son-in-law Jeremy Amon.

 

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all MCHHS ICU and SRHC ICU staff. Salina Regional Health Center ICU made his final moments as comfortable as possible.

 

He will be very missed by many.

 

Cremation Service was selected. A Celebration of Life will be October 16th at 2pm in Cawker City, at the City Park (Golf Course). A small meal will be provided after celebration.

 

Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Ronald West Jr Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date by the family.
