Patricia “Pat” Ann Wright, 77, of Concordia, died Friday, October 7, 2016. Pat was born February 22, 1939 in Concordia, Kansas and was the only child of Lorena (Renie) McNabb Eilers and Leroy Eilers.
Pat graduated Montrose High School in 1957. After high school, she moved to Kansas City where she worked for one year and then moved to Hays, Kansas. She attended Fort Hays State University and graduated in 1962. Pat married Edgar Wright in May of 1962.
She was a public school teacher and taught in Mankato, Summerfield, Washington and Linn, Kansas; El Paso, Texas; and retired from Garden City, Kansas in 1996.
She is survived by her husband, Ed, of the home and daughters, Kelli Wright of Stockton, Kansas, and Sammi Wright of Stuttgart, Germany.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 17, at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Concordia, Kansas. Visitation will be on 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 16, at Nutter Mortuary, Concordia, with family receiving visitors from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. that evening. Internment will follow at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Concordia First United Methodist Church, Chapter EV of P.E.O., Montrose Alumni Association, or the Concordia EMS.
