Patricia Owen Obituary

Patricia (Pat) L. Owen of Concordia, Kansas joined family in heaven on Friday, July 6th, 2018. She was joined by family and loved ones in her final days. Pat was the second daughter of Edward and Dorothy LaBonte and later married Ivon H. Owen on February 1st, 1964 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church where she was a lifelong member.

Patricia showered all those around her with love and is survived by children Ivon H. Owen Jr. and wife Nancy of Concordia, daughter Rachelle White and husband Jerold of Salina, P.J. Owen and wife Stacey of Concordia and Nicholas Owen and wife Ava of Solomon. Other survivor is her baby sister Janet and husband Bob of Independence, MO. Pat was fortunate to be blessed with ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pat is reunited in eternal life with her husband Ivon, son Geary Edward, daughter Crystal Lynn and parents Dorothy and Edward LaBonte. JoAnn Fowler and Mary McGeoch also are reunited with their sister.

Pat ran the family business, Owen Trucking, for years and was the backbone of the business. She lived her life to serve others and was always giving of her love and time. She loved her family dearly, but cared for everyone she encountered with endless amounts of love.

Mass of Christian burial will be held will at 10:30 am, Tuesday, July 10th at the OLPH Catholic Church in Concordia followed by a burial at St. Concordia Catholic Cemetary. Visitation will be Monday, July 9th from 9 am – 8 pm at Nutter Mortuary in Concordia. A vigil and recitation of the Rosary will be Monday at 7:00 pm at Nutter Mortuary. If people wish to make memorials, Pat would love donations to be made to OLPH Catholic Church.
