Linda Haist Obituary

Linda A. (Shuler) Haist, age 66, died August 20, 2018 at University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kansas. She was born in Concordia, Kansas on August 7, 1952 to Lawrence William and Mary Rosina (Blochlinger) Shuler.

Linda worked for Ross Olsen Insurance Agency, Mount Joseph Senior Village, Wal-mart and most recent Funk Pharmacy.

She married Ernest R. Haist on April 8, 1972 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia, Kansas

She was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, Kansas. She was also an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous, Gateway Group and New Beginnings Women’s Group. Her sobriety birthday is 1/11/1986.

Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Ernie Haist, Concordia, Kansas; two daughters Tina Haist-Deckard San Antonio, TX; Erin Nylund (Scott) San Antonio, TX; 2 Sisters, Avis Brooks, Concordia, KS.; Carla Rosenthal (Dan), Malone, WI.; 4 Brothers, Larry Shuler (Kim), Concordia, KS.; Edward Shuler, Ozawkie, KS.; John Shuler (Sheryl), Concordia, KS.; Carl Shuler, Kansas City MO.; 5 Grandchildren, Steffen Shearer; Brooks Shearer; Lauren Nylund; Emma Nylund; Ben Nylund. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister Betty (Shuler) Holechek.

Visitation will be held, Thursday August 23, 2018 at Nutter Mortuary, Concordia from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Nutter Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held, Friday 10:30 a.m., August 24, 2018 at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Father David Metz at Celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Clyde, KS.

Memorials may be made for the Family’s Choice to be designated at a later date.
