Brian Williams Obituary

Brian Lloyd Williams passed away on April 10, 2020, at the age of 47 at his dream home in Jewell, Kansas. He was born June 2, 1972, in Beloit, KS to Eldon “Bub” and Pamela “Pam” (Holdren) Williams. Brian was a lifetime resident of Jewell County, growing up in Jewell and graduating from Jewell High School with the Class of 1990. After high school, he attended Colby Community College and then transferred closer to home to attend Cloud County Community College.

During high school, Brian helped numerous farmers in the Jewell County area, then followed in his father’s footsteps in the trucking business. Brian had his CDL and brokerage license. He was an owner-operated for 22 years and a company driver for 7 years. Brian not only enjoyed driving semis, but he also enjoyed participating in derbies & racing his mini-sprints and modifieds for a few years of his life. Brian was a very proud father of his three daughters.

Brian is survived by his grandmother, Roberta Holdren of Beloit; sister, Quanita Williams of Manhattan; three beautiful daughters, Brennan Williams of Manhattan, Brooke Williams of Kinsley, and Julia Perez of Kinsley, along with their mother Jacinta Perez of Kinsley; two grandchildren Charles E. Harmon III (Trey) of Manhattan, and LaTavius B. E. Gamble (TayTay) of Kinsley; Niece and nephew, Zoe and Zander Williams of Manhattan. Brian also was survived by four stepchildren; Trevor Elkins of Mankato, Trenton Elkins of Courtland, Taylar (Elkins) Shelton of Guide Rock, Tiarra (Elkins) Cluck of Mankato; along with their mother, Karen (Grelinger) Smith of Holdrege; fifteen step-grandchildren; his lifelong buddies, Keith Mallory of Jewell, and Clinton Novack of Jamestown area.

Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Eldon and Pamela Williams; grandparents, Charles Holdren, Lavern and Susie Monty; Uncle, Steven Holdren; niece and nephew, Ellie and Owen Williams; Grandchild, baby Gamble.

The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the memorial fund that has been established at Farmer Bank and Trust of Kinsley, KS suggested to be written to Brennan Williams, Brooke Williams, or Julia Perez for funeral expenses.  

A celebration of life will be held and announced at a later date.
