William Joseph Cook

William (Bill) Cook passed away on Monday, June 29 at The Nicol Home in Glasco. He was 93 years old. Bill was a long-time resident of Concordia and most recently at The Nicol Home in Glasco.

He retired from Cloud County Community College in 1995.

Bill was born on June 7, 1933, to Earl and Bessie Cook in Webber, KS. He married Velda Miller on August 8, 1953. She passed away on August 7, 2000.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and sisters and an infant great grandson.

Surviving family members include sister, Bonnie Bolte, sons, Darrell Cook, Mineola, TX, Jeffery Cook, Concordia, daughter Venita (Randy) Johnson, Emporia, grandchildren Brent Cook, Tricia (Walter) Bragg, Brandon Cook, Reese (Bre) Johnson, Emporia, Shelby (Johnny) Clark, Emporia, Meghan (Ethan Valcoure) Cook, Concordia, and Kiana Griffiths (Jamaica). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 5, 2026 from 4:00PM – 6:00PM at Nutter Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, July 6, 2026 at the Nutter Mortuary with Pastor Rick Barrett officiating.

The Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Nicol Home in Glasco.
