Regina “Gina” Marie Wallace (Kresin), 64, of Concordia, Kansas, passed away on October 13, 2026, in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on May 2, 1962, in Beloit, Kansas, to Lila “Bunny” and Keith Kresin. She grew up in Glen Elder, Kansas, with seven loving siblings.

Regina married her high school sweetheart, Jeff Wallace, in 1985. Together, they were blessed with three children—Sean, Catherine, and Shannon—and fourteen grandchildren. Being a mom and grandma brought her tremendous joy.

She graduated from Waconda East High School in 1980. She attended Hutchinson Community College and Fort Hays State University, earning her bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 1985. She attended Wichita State University, earning a master’s degree in building leadership and administration in 2006. Education was her passion, and she poured her heart and soul into it. As Gina entered this school year, she said, “I am excited when students find out they know something or learn something they don’t already know. Learning should be fun and a progression of knowledge.” She taught for over 20 years before transitioning to school administration, where she served for another 20 years. Her first teaching position was at St. John’s of Beloit Elementary School. She held various roles while working for Southern Cloud USD 334. She later returned to the classroom as a third-grade teacher in Concordia USD 333.

Regina was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she served on the session and taught religious education. Attending activities of her children and grandchildren was her favorite pastime. Gina and Jeff enjoyed watching movies together. She also had a love of travelling and had many more trips planned with Jeff once she retired.

Regina was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Bunny Kresin; her father-in-law, Wilbur Wallace; her mother-in-law, Pearl Hearn; and her brother-in-law, Jim Hearn; Adolph Charbonneau.
