Frederick L. Dowling, age 63, of Fairbury, NE., formerly of Concordia, KS., died Wednesday, April 19, 2017. He was born April 12, 1954 to Larry & Marietta (Hollingsworth) Dowling at Brainerd, Minnesota. He graduated from Brainerd High School and joined the U.S. Airforce. Fred was employed as a truck driver for Fairbury Steaks. He is survived by : Wife - Louisa, Concordia, KS., Son - Shane (Rachel) Dowling - Park Rapids, MN., Daughter - Shannon (Anthony) Mejdrich, Merrifield, MN., Sons - Preston Dowling, Rush City, MN., Jason Dowling, Concordia, KS., 2 Step-sons - James & Andrew Varner, Sister - Colleen (Jerry) Bahma, Spicer, MN., Grandkids - Taylor, Brittany & Hailey, Sebeka, MN, Mathew, Logan, Noah, & Owen, Merrifield, MN., Jesse, Brainerd, MN., Nephew - Greg, Niece - Amanda. Preceded in death by parents and brother - Jeff Frank Dowling.  Memorial Gathering - Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Nutter Mortuary from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Memorial Service will be Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the V.F.W. in Fairbury, NE.
