Elizabeth "Betty" Brown, age 87, Concordia, Kan., died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Mt. Joseph Senior Village. She was born July 8, 1926, in Ellsworth, Kan., to Harvey and Maude (Cody) Tharp.
Betty married Wilbur Brown Aug. 27, 1950, in Portis, Kan. She worked at Riteway Laundry in Concordia, Kan.
Betty is survived by her nephew, Bob (Phyllis) Shanks of Concordia, Kan., and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters and one brother.
Funeral services were this morning, Feb. 24, at Nutter Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Cory Shipley officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
