Kathleen Kirgis Obituary

Kathleen J. Kirgis formerly of Jewell, Ks passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at Sunset Home in Concordia after a lengthy hospital stay.  She was born July 31, 1937 to the late Anne and Roy Teasley.

 

Kathleen was raised in Glasco and moved to Beloit with her children when they were young.  Later, she married George Kirgis and moved to the family farm in Jewell County.  She loved her gardening and everything that went with living and working on the farm. Kathleen was a kind hearted, thoughtful person that would do most anything for anyone and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.   

 

Kathleen is survived by her daughters Lisa Asch, and husband Brad, of Moore, Oklahoma and Laurie Huezo of Concordia. She has two grandsons, Lucas Huezo and his family of California and Nathan Asch of Norman, Oklahoma.  Kathleen is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Thrapp and her husband  Murl,  of Glasco, Kansas.

 

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, her bothers Delbert Teasley and Elwin Teasley, and her son Stephan Annis.

 

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (805 12th Street and Highway 81) in Belleville, Kansas on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 2:00 with a reception to follow for family and friends at Norway School Auditorium off Highway 148.
