JAMES “JIM” HUFF, JR.

James “Jim” Huff, Jr., age 88, of Concordia, Kansas died Monday, July 3, 2017 at Salina Regional Health Center. He was born August 6, 1928 in Concordia, KS., to James E. Huff, Sr. and Vada (Lilly) Huff.

He married Donna Valek August 28, 1949 in Belleville, KS. Jim served in the U.S. Navy and Army during WWII and the Korean War. He owned “Jewell Plumbing, Heating and Cooling: from 1958-1993. Jim was a member of: First United Methodist Church, VFW, American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Retreads Motorcycle Group and Kansas Motorcycle Riders.

He is survived by 6 children:        Dan (Tina) Huff – Concordia, KS

                                                                Brian (Kelly) Huff – Alma, KS

                                                                Caroline (Johnny) Birdsell – Fairfield, MO

                                                                Debbie Huff Kraus – Savannah, Georgia

                                                                Jayme (Clayton) Peterson – Concordia, KS

                                                                Christine (Irwin) Endsley – Kansas City, MO

                One brother:                     Clarence (Tish) Huff – Blazine, TX

                13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren

Preceded in death by:   wife – Donna; grandson – Chad Dougherty

                                                brother – Delmer Huff & Parents

Visitation will be Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Nutter Mortuary Chapel from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Family will be present from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be Monday, July 10, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church – Concordia, KS., with Pastor Melanie Adams and Pastor Bob Burns officiating. Memorials may be given to: C.H.S. Nursing Scholarship or The Leukemia Society. Burial will be at the National Bohemian (Kopsa) Cemetery, Cuba, KS. with Military Honors by VFW Post #588 and American Legion Post #76. Masonic Graveside Rites by Concordia Masonic Lodge A.F. and A.M. Lodge #113.
