OBITUARY FOR EDWARD J. MOYNIHAN

Edward Jay Moynihan was born in Salem, Massachusetts on February 19, 1936 to Francis P. and Margaret E. (Poore) Moynihan.  He went home to be with his Lord on November 7, 2016.  He married the love of his life on June 23, 1957 in Scott City, KS. 

Ed was an Army veteran of the Korean War era, a graduate of Midwest Christian College in Oklahoma City, a retired Postmaster, and a retired pastor of Christian Churches in Tryon, OK., Oklahoma City, OK., Erick, OK., Topeka, KS., Clifton, KS., and Scottsville, KS. Ed was an Irishman to his core.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Conine) Moynihan of Concordia, KS.; three sons Jay (Tracy) of Erick, OK; Steve (Laurie) of Arnold, MD; and Gil; and daughter Sharla Bradley (Mike) of Topeka, KS; three grandsons, Colby Moynihan (Randi Sue), Bill Moynihan, and Jackson Hoyle; six granddaughters Sarah Moynihan, Samantha Bradley, Kevyn Bradley, Cheyenne Moynihan, Sonya Moynihan, and Kiyah Moynihan; sister Karen Candeas of MA; sister-in-laws, many nieces and nephews; and many friends. 

He is predeceased by his parents, four sisters, three brothers, and one granddaughter, Brittany Moynihan. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 10:30 am at the Concordia Wesleyan Church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to NAMI KS, CASA or Ignite Hope (Wesleyan Church).  Any notes or memories of how Ed impacted your life would be appreciated.
